my bathroom counter has things strewn from one end to the other. This was the scene last night while I packed for a two week business trip. If someone didn’t know that I’ve been traveling for work for 19 years they’d think that not only was this my first business trip but maybe my first trip…EVER! As a self proclaimed OCD organizer, I have systems for packing but this skill was out the window last night.
Fast forward to this morning. I’m rushing around making last minute decisions of things to take out and put in my suitcase. I get the suitcase closed and head out.
Half way to the airport I realize I forgot my charger for my headphones.
Grrr. Then I wonder if I’ve forgotten anything else. Then I’m looking in my purse to make sure I have my ID and credit card. (Did I mention I’m a litte OCD?) By the time I board the shuttle, I’ve decided that I need to practice what I preach and go back to basics for my travel prep.
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little geeked out by the process of spreading everything out and recreating my packing process.
What is one of your tips when traveling??
